🎄 Christmas Waste & Recycling Collections – Brixworth (Daventry Area) 🎄

West Northamptonshire Council has confirmed changes to bin collections over the festive period for households in Brixworth with a Friday collection:

Christmas waste and recycling

🗓️ Revised Collection Dates

Friday 26 December (Boxing Day) ➡️ Sunday 28 December

Friday 2 January (New Year’s Week) ➡️ Saturday 3 January

🌿 Garden Waste Garden waste collections will be paused from Monday 22 December to Sunday 4 January. Service resumes the week beginning Monday 5 January.

🌲 Real Christmas Tree Collections Real trees will be collected between Monday 5 January and Friday 16 January. No garden waste subscription is required. Please place trees out on your usual garden waste collection day. Trees over 6ft must be cut in half.

♻️ Extra Recycling If your recycling bin is full, you can present additional recycling in clear plastic bags or boxes next to your bin. Alternatively, take it to your nearest Household Waste Recycling Centre.

🏠 Recycling Centres Centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day, and will close early at 2pm on Christmas Eve. Otherwise, they’re open 10am–4pm daily. From 3 November, all visits must be booked in advance.

🍽️ Food Waste Food waste collections continue as normal throughout the festive period. You can recycle cooked and raw leftovers, peelings, bones, and more — just avoid liquids. Any bag can be used to line your caddy.

📱 Stay Updated Download the West Northamptonshire Council app to check your bin day and receive alerts. Bin calendars will be available on the Council’s website from November.
