At this year’s Annual Parish Meeting, we proudly celebrated the individuals and organisations whose dedication, kindness and community spirit make Brixworth such a special place to live. All of this year’s winners and nominees were put forward by residents of Brixworth, reflecting the genuine appreciation felt across our village.

🏆 Outstanding Individual Contribution Award – Paris Robinson
Paris was recognised for more than six years of extraordinary commitment to supporting older residents and families in need through her annual Christmas Hamper project. Her home becomes a hub of generosity each year — coordinating donations, organising volunteers, and ensuring every hamper is prepared with care.
🌱 Young Achiever Award – Iona & Murray Campbell
At just 11 and 9, Iona and Murray launched and ran their own popup sweet shop with professionalism far beyond their years. They completed the required training, followed business standards, and showed real leadership and creativity.
❤️ Community Heart Award – Ian “Eddie” Edmunds (Brixworth & District Royal British Legion)
Eddie has built the local RBL branch from nothing into an award‑winning organisation in just four years, earning multiple county honours. His leadership, dedication to the Poppy Appeal, and ability to unite volunteers and local businesses have strengthened community spirit.
🛠️ Local Business Excellence Award – Maintenance Service Electrical (MSE)
MSE has been a long‑standing supporter of the community, consistently providing a high‑quality, responsive and friendly service. They have also installed defibrillator cabinets free of charge and frequently offer cost‑saving advice to local facilities rather than recommending unnecessary replacements.
