A by-election for a seat on Daventry District Council will be held in July following the resignation of Councillor Fabienne Fraser-Allen.
The by-election for Brixworth Ward will take place on Thursday, 18 July after three candidates were nominated to contest the seat.
Residents in the ward who are not already registered to vote have until 2 July to do so if they wish to have their say in this by-election. People can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

Postal vote applications need to be completed and sent to DDC’s Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 3 July.
Applications to vote by proxy – when some votes on your behalf – must be received by DDC’s Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 10 July, though if an elector falls ill or is called away on business after that date, they may be able to apply up to 5pm on 18 July.

A Notice of Election for the Brixworth Ward seat has been published today and potential candidates will have until 4pm on Friday, 21 June to submit their nomination papers.
If the by-election is contested, then the polling day will be held on Thursday, 18 July and people living in Brixworth, Cottesbrooke, Creaton, Draughton, Lamport, Maidwell and Scaldwell will be able to vote.
Councillor Fraser-Allen was elected in 2016 to the District Council seat, which is one of three covering the Brixworth electoral ward area.
